This and That
Wow! It's been a while. I did not realize that it had been so long. We were able to get some things planted in various raised beds: an old tractor tire, some old car tires, a small bed around our flagpole and some hanging baskets. So far, the tomatoes are still green but getting bigger. The zucchini and cucumber is just starting to vine out(planted late, but still hoping). The same for the beans. Every little bit helps, so we are hoping and praying that the vegies thrive.
For a while our riding mower wasn't working, so our yard was looking bad. We borrowed my mother's pushmower when we could but it wasn't often enough. Finally, a relative took pity on us and let us borrow a small trailer so we could haul the rider to get it fixed. We are thankful that it was actually minor repairs and only took $20 to fix. Praise God for that!
The kids' schooling is going great. We took a three week break but will be back at it next week with both feet. Hoping that I get things in order in time. Reader will be doing 9th grade work and Legoboy will be doing 6th grade. I am no longer using Singapore Math; it just wasn't working for us. More on the schooling later.
I hope this catches everything up.

New Beginnings
Well, we have some things straightened out around here. My mother finally got moved to town, so we were able to move into the farmhouse on the family farm. Previously, we were living in a mobile home on the family farm to help my mother out. It got to be too much for here to take care of, so she decided to move into town to make it easier on her. Now, we have to get things on the farm to the way we want it. It is going to take time. Meanwhile, I should be able to write more often.

Trying....
I am trying. So many things. Trying to set this blog up. Trying to move and get things settled. Trying to homeschool. Trying to homestead. But most of all, trying to blog. I have so many things that I want to write, but right now have little time to do so. Hopefully, I can get more done, written, in the next several weeks.
